George Salton has a remarkable survivor’s story.  He was only 11 years old when the Nazis occupied his hometown in Poland.  He was 14 when his family was forced to move to a ghetto.  His parents were sent in a boxcar to a Nazi death camp and Salton alone was imprisoned in 10 different concentration camps in Germany, France, and Poland.  His story is a painful and inspiring account of his struggle to survive.  At age 17, Salton was liberated by American forces at the Woebbelin Concentration Camp in Germany.  At age 19, he came to America to start a new life.

George Salton’s memoir, The 23rd Psalm: A Holocaust Memoir, was published by The University of Wisconsin Press.  Salton has spoken at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York, the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, and for educational, cultural and religious groups across the country.  He has been featured on CNN, major network news shows and on National Public Radio and has been the subject of many articles in newspapers around the world.

George Salton speaks on Jewish life in Nazi occupied Poland, Jewish life in the ghetto, surviving ten Nazi concentration camps, liberation and his life after the holocaust.  Mr. Salton is retired and lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
